In late September of 2014, on a hangover and a whim, we embarked on a great journey through Utah’s Glen Canyon National Recreation with kayaks, fly rods and a bunch of beer. We found what we were looking for. More than 100 miles later we proudly tell the tale of finding Lake Powell’s mythical striper boils.

Hot off a wild DIY fly fishing trip to a remote region of Cozumel, Mexico we put together a little something to wet your appetite for big, beefy bonefish! Looking back on that amazing trip I really don’t think those fish had ever seen a fly, let alone a human, before.
