Salty Dogs
There's nothing quite like the challenge of fly fishing in salt water! We've made it a priority to take, at the very least, one huge DIY fly fishing adventure trip to a warm, salt water destination each year. To wake up at first light on the shores of a tropical paradise… to head out into a vast, salty flats environment… to quietly stalk unsuspecting fish… to hear that reel scream… to hoist a powerful bonefish. We were born for this!
Our Roots
Fresh water fishing is where we got our start. It’s the ever-flowing rivers and the tranquil lakes where we return to when we want to connect to our roots. Burned in our memory are the early, youthful days of catching frogs, skipping rocks and spin fishing for panfish in tiny ponds using beefy earth worms. Who can forget Powerbait? Haha! But, it was that moment of picking up a cheap fly rod 20-plus years ago when the after burners truly kicked in. High mountain trout… big water striped bass… still water toothy pike… God willing, if we take care of these amazing resources, we’ll be catching these fish with our grandchildren.
